New San-Jitsu Crab Logo

San-Jitsu is constantly evolving to fit the needs of modern warfare. Indeed, it is one of the deadliest & most provocative martial art systems developed since its inception in 1970 on the Island of Guam. In keeping with evolutionary change , we have enhanced our Ayuyu Crab emblem to reflect a more realistic depiction of the full grown Ayuyu Crab found on Guam. We have also imbedded the Japanese kanji for San-Jitsu in the new emblem giving credit to the Japanese origins of Jiu-Jitsu

Grandmaster Sanchez models new gi
Sensei Matthew Sanchez

Thanks to the efforts of  Sensei Matthew Sanchez, San-Jitsu now has its distinctive heavy weight green uniform back since losing our supplier several years ago!  The uniform in keeping with our evolutionary style is a bolder green then our first generation gi with the same heavy weight & texture & with white thread markings giving the gi a more militaristic/ futuristic look.  You can order the gi through our website at www.San-Jitsu.com or by writing to our headquarters.  The black gi will also still be available for those wishing to purchase it, with or without our silk-screened/ embroidered emblems.

  • Sensei Matthew joins Sensei Chris Marquez as a Communications Manager for the San-Jitsu world hombu. Please be sure to copy both Sensei Chris & Sensei Matthew at MarquezSJR@comcast.net  & MatthewAflagueSanchez@yahoo.com respectively whenever you have an important message to get to Soke.

Sensei Chris Marquez represented Soke Sanchez at the Gathering 2008 seminar symposium in Sacramento California which honored the late Professor Imi Okazai-Mullins, the daughter of the late great, Henry Okazaki, Founder of Danzan Ryu Jiu-Jitsu. The event held September 27th – 28th featured many of Soke’s friends & renowned Island pioneers teaching to martial artists of all styles & rankings who were in attendance.

Per an  August 31st e-mail from Ms Shannon Murphy of the Guampedia, Soke Sanchez will be included in Guam’s on-line encyclopedia of  Guam’s history & culture for the creation of San-Jitsu.  This follows on the heels of Soke being featured in martial arts historian, Emil Farkas’ book entitled “An Illustrated History of Martial Arts in America” as the creator of Guam’s first Internationally recognized martial art of San-Jitsu & being the Founder of America’s first grandmasters council, the World Head of Family Sokeship Council.

Grandmaster Sanchez received a nice e-mail from arguably the best kicker in the world & good friend, Grandmaster Gary Wasniewski in England stating that he would be meeting in late October with the producers of his first film entitled “Thunderkick”  which was released this year to have Soke Sanchez included in his next film entitled, “The Kill Factor – Thunderkick 2”.

  • Soke’s guest appearance at the Malaysian Martial Arts Festival scheduled to take place late October was cancelled by Soke due to an anti-Christian rant that he received from an anonymous source there espousing the Muslim faith. Since Sensei Phillip Spears of Texas was also scheduled to help Soke & would be in  attendance with his Wife,  Soke thought it best in the interest of safety to all to cancel.

February 15th will find Soke in New Jersey as the guest of Grandmaster Gary Alexander & his IAMA Association for a sit down dinner & awards banquet
